Of Leviticus 24:17-22? Some parts are more clear than some obviously. It supports the death penalty, but I don't understand the part about restitution for killing one's animal...it says life for life. Does this mean if I kill someone's animal that I must die?

If anyone takes the life of a human being, he must be put to death. Anyone who takes the life of someone's animal must make restitution—life for life. If anyone injures his neighbor, whatever he has done must be done to him: fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth. As he has injured the other, so he is to be injured. Whoever kills an animal must make restitution, but whoever kills a man must be put to death. You are to have the same law for the alien and the native-born. I am the LORD your God.

Well if anything, it proves that there are extra terrestrials.
If there were aliens running around then, then God put them at the same level as humans.

ahh ok. So is the reason why spiritual conservatives are in favor of the death penalty but not abortion?

Mehhhh. From a shear legal aspect, not everyone tried and convicted is guilty. Discoveries in DNA evidence and a group called The Innocence Project have advocated on behalf of a few people who were found guilty despite insufficient or conflicting evidence and/or testimony. Only 20 years later in some cases did DNA evidence aid in getting these people exonerated.

I see what you are saying though, but why shouldn't the lord judge these people? I'm anti abortion myself but on the fence about the death penalty. I guess we can kill em all and let god sort em out though, huh?

lol. But what about the above mentioned facts that innocent people are found guilty and put on death row? Oh well?

Word. Well they are mostly cases that happened before DNA evidence and they got exonerated ex post facto (after the fact).

We need to take advantage of improved forensics in those cases

like carbon dating? (zing!)

I've never heard of C14 being used to solve a crime, even several hundred years ago, and I'm not sure what good it would be

Google man...Google.....

"Additionally, a technique involving carbon-14, widely used for radioactive dating of objects, is used in a special technique (called "bomb pulse") for recent dating (1960-present), which aids investigations of fraud or illicit trade."
