A TFL guide for newbies

Since we seem to be having the same type of issues with all the new members, I figured some of the older members could help out a bit.

Try to keep this reasonably serious and actually helpful. I'll be editing this down and making it a sticky, so common sense is key, ok guys?

1) We're glad you joined. HOWEVER, take the time to lurk a little bit and get the feel of the board. This place is an acquired taste, and has it's own twisted flow to it.

2) Do not join up and immediately start posting in every thread you see. Actually think about what you post. If you don't have anything meaningful to say, then it's ok to not respond.

3) Do NOT post whore to get into the Sex and Relationships section. The other members hate that, and the mods react quickly and angrily to it.

4) Don't get upset by what someone may say to you. It's just the internet, folks. Relax a bit.

5) Some members get very heated and very emotional about certain subjects on the board. If you don't like that type of discussion, you might want to avoid some of those topics.

6) Cutesy internet game threads are not the type of thing we do around here. Please refrain.

I graduated undergrad last year. I'm taking this year off before I start law school (next fall). I'm taking the LSAT soon though. That will determine what law school I get into. Anything I should specifically do before I am in hell for the next 3 years?
