First #'s report 381 pounds dry weight and 178hp. Further derived off the RC211V chassis

Depends on what you mean by fast. My F4i will run 11's all day long and absolutely smoke in the twisties. This bike will completely blow it away.

That's way too much bike for me. I know my limits, and that's about 10 miles past 'em. I'll take a nice "little" 600, thanks.

Ahhh, but it's fun! I'm trading in my F4i next year and either getting this bike or an RC51. Trust me, if you know how to ride and respect the power of those things, they aren't bad. Ya just can't assume that you yank the throttle wide open and go really really fast. Otherwise you end up on your back with a bike on top of you.

Woa! With 30 lbs of fuel and me on board that's only 3.4lbs/hp. We need a smiley that shivers for this one.

I'd still simply opt for a CBR 600 if I went a honda superbike route. Personally, I would rather save up the money and dump it on a Ducati superbike.
As it stands now though, I'm looking for any cheap street bike, be it a cruiser or a crotch rocket (I'm really thinking a used BMW 1150 or 1200 GS )

There are pics of the 600 RR on Honda's website. They actually brought back the Orange and Black color scheme, it's pretty sick.
And Supper, why not just get a cheap Ninja ZX6R? They can be had for $2k, are pretty damn fast, and handle fairly well. Certainly good enough to satisfy the fun per dollar factor.

there is one of those sitting at the local Yamaha dealership for sale, haven't even asked to take it for a test ride or to sit on it or even what he wants for it. I'm sure I would wind up buying it, and right now I can't afford insurance on a superbike. They also had an early 90's Ducati SuperSport for sale that I should have jumped on for $3500.
But, racing and rent this winter is going to wipe out all of my income every single month without anything left over for more toys
