Ok, I'm going down highway 9, headed towards boiling springs. *I'm cruising along, not in a real big hurry when I hear this godlike exaust just when a super pimped 4th gen. Prelude launches by me. *He was doing at least 90 I know. *He was followed immediately by a black Integra Type-R, I believe. *Thinking I couldn't missed this, I took off and stayed behind them to watch. *Probably stupid because of the ticket risk, but I had to see. *The Acura starts gaining on the Prelude at the bridge crossing 85. *Just as the Acura was about to take the 'lude, you hear a loud hiss, the 'lude's pipes scream, and it takes off to defeat the Acura at around 135-150. *I didn't wanna follow fast enough near the end to get MYSELF caught running 150, but I think my estimate is pretty close. If I counted the number of downshifts right as he was coming to a red light after the race, he sounded like he was in 5th gear. The RPMs when he dusted the Acura didn't sound to be over even 4,000 RPMs. It was near midnight, so the roads were pretty much baren. *I'd say the Prelude beat the Integra by at least a good 8-9 carlength. *I would LOVE to have that Honda damnit.

Maybe you're unlucky? You just gotta be in the right place at the right time.

The 2000-1 Eclipse GTs I drove while I worked at the dealership would only do 140 ::cough::. I think there was a limiter on them. As for the 3000GT VR4 we took to lunch one day...

Apparently this Prelude can. It was super modded though. Didn't even look like a Prelude anymore. Only way I noticed it as that was the rear light scheme. But I am quite damn sure it was 150. God it was fast. If I knew them I'd have them show you, but oh well.

I wish I could do what this dude did, then. Like I said, I couldn't exactly CLOCK him with a radar or anything, but it looked to be near 150.

Does a good ram air system actually create 2-psi above 150-mph? I read that somewhere.

I don't even think a Prelude is geared high enough to much faster than 140. But if you wanna talk about races that I've seen. Saw an awesome 3 way of an MKIV Supra, 911 Turbo and a T/A. T/A didn't put up much of a fight but the Supra and the Porsche were neck and neck, Supra pulled him on the high end though, knowing those cars probably around 130-150

Ok, so maybe they were a little short of 150. It's still close.
