Ya see Jim, my theory is that by ever even remotely SUGGESTING that Mark's reading comprehension is not 100% in tact, someone could question his twisted interperatation of scripture.
I'm pretty sure that explains not only his aggressive defensive nature about it, but also why he has a Grammar Naziesque kneejerk reaction when someone misspelz a werd or too...
It seems to be a compulsion of his, and his sensitivity regarding it bolsters my theory.
